Dear Parents, Custodians and members of Staff of CBC Mount Edmund

Added on 30 May 2016
You will recall that I wrote to you in February to let you know that we were starting the process of selecting a new leader for the College. We have now completed this process.

On behalf of the Board of Governors, I am delighted to announce that we have appointed Mr. Bernard Langton as Principal of CBC Mount Edmund, with effect from 1 January 2017.

Mr. Langton has been in independent education for well over 20 years and is currently the principal of St. Thomas Aquinas College in Witbank. In this role, for the past 7 years, he has shown his ability to provide strategic leadership, build a motivated and dedicated staff as well as focusing on all aspects of college life that inspires learners to perform and grow. Prior to his current position, he was deputy principal at St. Benedicts College, Bedfordview.

Mr. Langton is deeply committed to the ethos of Catholic education, and we have full confidence in his ability to lead CBC Mount Edmund and accelerate our strategic vision.

Mr. Ross will officially retire at the end of September this year and we will have the opportunity to thank him for his 15 years of dedicated service to the College.

Mr. Mike Pike, as deputy principal, will assume the role of acting principal from 1 October to 31 December 2016.

I would like to thank all of you who gave your support through prayer and input during this process. I also specifically thank those members of the Board of Governors who gave up many hours in interviews and deliberation.
Yours faithfully

Tony Munro
